Title: Advisory Consultant, Logistics IT

Location: Alexandria, VA (hybrid: 3-5 days/week on-site)

Clearance: Active SECRET Required

Overview:
The Data Analyst will support data analysis, dashboard development, reporting, and potentially data engineering for a government client. This role requires a strong mix of technical analytics skills and stakeholder engagement. The analyst will work across multiple datasets and tools to develop actionable insights, support recurring and ad hoc reporting, and help translate business needs into clear analytical outputs.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business questions, reporting needs, and analytical priorities.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into clear requirements, metrics, and data definitions.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations for operational and leadership audiences.
  • Use SQL or Python to extract, transform, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
  • Work within analytics environments such as War Data Platform / Databricks and BI tools such as Qlik Sense / QlikView.
  • Perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of outputs.
  • Support KPI development, dashboard refresh schedules, and recurring reporting processes.
  • Interpret findings and present insights in clear written products and briefings.
  • Partner with technical and functional teams to support data pipelines, documentation, and analytic delivery.
  • Contribute to ad hoc analyses and priority data calls as needed.


    Required Expertise & Competencies:

  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, data science, economics, engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analytics, business analysis, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong experience developing dashboards in Qlik Sense / QlikView or similar BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases.
  • Working knowledge of Python for data analysis and manipulation.
  • Experience working with large datasets across multiple sources.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for reports, briefings, and executive-level deliverables.
  • Experience gathering requirements and working directly with functional stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum delivery environments.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Alexandria, VA, as needed.
